Nova Scotia Power will have Asplundh tree maintenance crews working in Middleton over the coming weeks to complete routine tree trimming and vegetation maintenance around powerlines. Tree contacts remain the single largest cause of outages in Nova Scotia, which is why their vegetation management program plays such a critical role in maintaining reliability for customers.
They've scheduled this work to coincide with the spring weight‑restriction period, which begins Sunday, March 15. Doing this work during restrictions helps them minimize impacts on local roads while still completing essential reliability maintenance.
There may be some minor traffic slowdowns in areas where crews are working. Traffic control will be in place to keep vehicles moving safely and efficiently through these work zones.
