2026 Event Recap!

Century Ride took place on August 8 and Heart Run took place on August 9 this year - see below for a recap of the race weekend!

Century Ride

This year’s Century Ride welcomed an incredible 128 athletes who took on one of four distances: 25 km, 50 km, 100 km or the challenging 160 km route.

And this year, the riders certainly earned their finish! Partway through the event, cyclists found themselves riding through a thunder and lightning storm accompanied by significant rainfall. Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, our riders showed incredible determination and kept pushing forward, making their way through the rain and across the finish line.

Whether completing 25 km or taking on the full 160 km, every rider had something to be proud of at the end of the day.

After putting in all those kilometres, and braving the weather along the way, participants were able to sit down, refuel and enjoy a well-earned chicken dinner.

Congratulations to all 128 athletes who participated in this year’s Century Ride. Thank you for joining us and for making this year’s event one we certainly won’t forget!

Heart Run

The weather couldn’t have been much better for this year’s Heart Run! With comfortable temperatures and, most importantly, no rain, athletes had great conditions as they made their way through the course.

A total of 128 athletes participated in this year’s event, taking on one of three distances: the 5 km, 10 km or half marathon. From those tackling their first race to experienced runners chasing a new personal best, it was wonderful to see so many athletes come together for a morning of running in the Heart of the Valley.

Heart Run was once again a chip-timed event, allowing participants to receive an official time for their race. Results of the race can be found here: https://www.route541.com/Events/LeaderBoard?EVENT_ID=106

Overall, there were 128 participants at Heart Run this year.

Congratulations to all 128 athletes who crossed the start line this year, and thank you for making Heart Run such a fantastic event!

Thanks to Our Volunteers and Sponsors!

Events like the Century Ride and Heart Run simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers and sponsors.

We know how busy life can be, which makes it all the more meaningful that so many people took time out of their weekend to help make these events a success. From checking in athletes and serving food to running water stops along the routes, our volunteers were there every step of the way.
