A beloved summer tradition, Middleton’s Heart of the Valley Festival brings the community together for a weekend of fun, entertainment, and celebration. It’s the perfect time for residents and visitors to enjoy the season, support local organizations, and make unforgettable memories in the Annapolis Valley.

This year, the Town of Middleton will be making Heart of the Valley Days a family fun day with activities, food, entertainment, and more! Entry is free. 

A full schedule will be released closer to the date as vendors are finalized. 

This year there will be:

Survivor Challenge

The main event of the day is the Survivor Challenge!

Each team has three players and all players must participate in the challenges. Ages 12+.There will be five challenges. The team with the most points at the end will win their own medals and they will earn their name on the Survivor Trophy which will be kept for next year. Registration is required. Challenge 1 – Axe Throwing

Each team member throws the designated number of axes.

Target Points
• Blue = 1 point
• White = 2 points
• Red = 3 points
• Yellow = 4 points

Add all of your team's axe points together.

Challenge Points

• Highest axe score = 3 points
• Second highest = 2 points • Third highest = 1 point

Challenge 2 – Kettlebell Carry Relay

Each team member carries the kettlebells from Point A to Point B and back.

Rules
• Walk only (no running).
• Each teammate must complete the relay before the next teammate begins.

Challenge Points
• First = 3 points
• Second = 2 points
• Third = 1 point

Challenge 3 – Human Track

All three teammates must work together inside the human track to travel from Point A to Point B.

Rules
• Everyone must stay inside the track.
• If your team falls, return to the starting line and begin again.

Challenge Points
• First = 3 points
• Second = 2 points
• Third = 1 point

Challenge 4 – Blind Puzzle

One teammate wears a blindfold and must assemble the puzzle.

Rules
• The other two teammates may only give verbal directions.
• No touching the blindfolded teammate or the puzzle.

Challenge Points
• First = 3 points
• Second = 2 points
• Third = 1 point 

Challenge 5 – Granny Pants Water Bomb

Each team member has a role:
• Granny
• Water Bomb Filler
• Thrower The first team to successfully catch 10 water bombs in the granny pants wins.

Challenge Points
• First = 3 points
• Second = 2 points
• Third = 1 point

Survivor Champions ddd the points from all five challenges. The team with the highest total score wins the Survivor Challenge and earns their name on the Survivor Challenge Trophy!
