The work is now completed. The water main on Main Street was shut down to complete repairs, which temporarily changed the direction of water flow throughout parts of the Town.
As a result, residents from Senator Road to Bridge Street may experience water discolouration over the next 12 hours as the system returns to normal.
If your water appears discoloured, simply run your cold water tap for several minutes until the water runs clear.

Please be advised that there will be a temporary water service interruption beginning at 1:30 p.m. today, July 15, and lasting approximately one to two hours.
While road repairs are underway on Main Street, Public Works has decided to also complete additional repairs to underground water infrastructure to minimize future disruptions.
The water interruption will affect properties on Main Street between Jones Avenue and Park Street.
Once water service is restored, some residents may notice temporary discolouration in their water. If this occurs, simply run your cold water taps for several minutes until the water runs clear.

The Northlands Comprehensive District Area, located between Junction Road and Victoria Street, presents an important opportunity to plan for Middleton’s future growth in a way that reflects community needs and priorities. Public feedback will help the Town better understand perspectives on housing, transportation connections, parks and open space, servicing, environmental features, community character, and the types of development that may be appropriate over time.
Feedback collected through the survey will help us plan for future growth.

Road Repairs Underway on Main Street – Expect Traffic Delays

Please be advised that road repairs are underway on Main Street near Park Street today, July 15.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane while crews complete the work. Motorists should expect delays throughout the repairs, which are scheduled to be completed today.

The scene is now clear and Main Street is open.
Residents in the area may experience discolouration in their water due to sediment in the water mains. If this happens, run your taps for several minutes until the water runs clear.

Please be advised that due to an active structure fire in Middleton, Main Street is closed at Oakland Avenue to the Big Scoop Restaurant. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.
The high volume of water being used to fight the fire is stirring up sediment in the water mains. As a result, residents may notice temporary discolouration of their water in the East end of Town while emergency crews continue to use nearby fire hydrants.

Community Update – Heart of the Valley Festival Fundraising

Earlier today, the Town of Middleton was contacted by a local business after an individual approached them seeking donations for what was described as a Heart of the Valley Festival fundraiser.
After looking into the matter, we have since spoken directly with the individual involved. Their intentions were to support our community and local businesses, which is appreciated, and we thank them for their cooperation in resolving the matter. While community-led initiatives are always welcome, it is important that any fundraising or promotional efforts that are not being coordinated by the Town are clearly identified as independent initiatives and are not represented as being affiliated with or conducted on behalf of the Town of Middleton or the Heart of the Valley Festival.
The Town of Middleton truly values the enthusiasm of community members who want to support our events and initiatives. We are incredibly fortunate to have residents and businesses who are willing to give back, and we welcome those conversations.
Any fundraising, donation requests, or promotional initiatives that are presented as being on behalf of the Town of Middleton or the Heart of the Valley Festival must be coordinated with and authorized by the Town in advance. This helps ensure that businesses and residents can be confident they are supporting official initiatives and allows us to meet any applicable administrative or regulatory requirements.
If you have an idea for a fundraiser or would like to support a Town event, we'd love to hear from you. Please reach out to us first so we can work together to make it a success.

Please be advised that this is a scam. The Town of Middleton is not collecting money in this manner, and no one has been authorized to solicit donations in this capacity for Heart of the Valley Festival.

Rotary Park Parking Lot Closed July 8 and 9

Please be advised that the Rotary Park parking lot will be closed on July 8 and 9 for a dirt bike safety course from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The parking lot will reopen on Juy 10. The Rotary Park is not closed, however, there will be no parking available in the parking lot during the safety course.
