  • Councillors expressed appreciation for the Public Works Department's snow-clearing efforts.
  • There was a brief discussion about ATVs allowed on Town roads. Many municipalities restrict ATVs, but they can also serve as an economic driver for businesses. Middleton does not allow ATVs on Town roads.
  • Council noted that residents are encouraged to report any crime they observe.
  • Council noted that the African Heritage Month Flag Raising was well attended by Council.

Approved Motions & New Business

  • Council approved for the Mayor to vote against the Tidal Transit Authority 2026-2027 operating and capital budgets when it comes before the Valley Regional Services Board.
  • Council approved the Memorandum of Agreement N between Kings Transit Authority and the Annapolis Regional Emergency Management Organization.
  • Council appointed Daniel Forbes as a member of the Audit Committee.
  • Council approved the 2026-2029 Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Plan (EDI) • Council approved the 2026-2028 Annapolis County Joint Accessibility Plan.
  • Council approved a $1600 funding increase to the Annapolis Valley Regional Library Budget Request, which is consistent with the traditional municipal share under the current cost-sharing model, subject to provincial confirmation of their share.
  • Council approved the replacement of the existing Records Management Policy with the Records Management and Destruction Policy.
