Winter Parking Ban

Please be advised that the Winter Parking Ban will be in effect beginning with the first snowfall or on December 1, 2025 (whichever occurs first) through April 30, 2026, between the hours of 12:00am and 8:00am.

The regulations are as follows:

  • No person shall park or leave a motor vehicle standing on any highway or street within the Town limits, in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act.
  • Vehicles, whether attended or unattended, shall not be left in a manner that interferes with or obstructs snow removal or winter maintenance operations.
  • Ticketing and/or towing will occur when a parked vehicle restricts snow removal.

The Holiday Lightshow at Town Hall (131 Commercial Street) officially kicks off November 28, and the lights will be turned on during the Holiday Parade!

  • The show continues throughout December - come by anytime and experience the magic!

Road Closure Notice

Please be advised that several streets in Middleton will be temporarily closed on Friday, November 28 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm to accommodate the Holiday Parade.

Affected Streets:

  • Commercial Street
  • Main Street
  • School Street
  • Church Street

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we celebrate the season together!

The parade route is as follows:

Starting at NSCC - South on Commercial Street (then smaller floats are going up North Street, but this road isn't closed) - West on Main Street - North on School Street - East on Church Street - North on Commercial Street back to NSCC.

Livestock Bylaw, Chapter 62

TAKE NOTICE that at the regular meeting of Middleton Town Council held on November 17 2025, first reading was given for Council to create a new bylaw called the Livestock Bylaw, Chapter 62.

A copy of this bylaw may be viewed online at https://www.discovermiddleton.ca/town-hall/bylaws, in the November 17th 2025, agenda package, in person at Town Hall during business hours (Monday to Friday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm) or email ea@town.middleton.ns.ca for a digital copy.
