Details
The Ride
Sunday, 15 August, 2010, starting at 0900 at Middleton’s Rotary Raceway Park.
The route consists of 3 loops; counter clockwise from Middleton to Bridgetown (25km from Middleton, 50km route), clockwise from Bridgetown to Annapolis Royal (50km from Middleton, 100km route) and counter clockwise from Annapolis Royal to Raven Haven park (60km loop, 160km route) and return to Annapolis Royal.
The 50km and 100km routes have some rolling hills and follow the same route as last year’s event. For those riding the full century ride this year offers a new challenge. The 60k loop beyond Annapolis Royal is home to long steady climb at the 50km to 80km mark; well worth the effort. See the link below for a Map My Ride route and check show elevation: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/canada/ns/middleton/769126818142088689
There is also a 25, loop counter clockwise from Middleton out and back.
Food Stops
Food stops are located every 25-30k; Bridgetown (Jubilee Park), Annapolis Royal (Town Hall), and Raven Haven Park approximately half way through the 60K loop. The final food stop will be in Middleton at the completion of the ride. Refreshments and a BBQ will be provided to help with the recovery.
